TAP Cool is the ideal solution for transporting any type of Cargo that must be kept, for a limited period of time, at constant temperature levels - whether positive or negative (from -25ºC to +25ºC).

From frozen and refrigerated foods to pharmaceutical products, all Cargo is properly monitored and each product is properly packaged and stored. Rigor and high safety standards are strictly followed during all stages of the transport process, so that the external temperature does not in any way affect the optimal condition of the Cargo.

Note: Although we transport, through TAP Cool, pharmaceutical industry products that need to be kept at certain temperature levels, we also provide a specialized solution for air transport of Pharmaceutical Cargo that encompasses the shipment of different types of products.

How does TAP Air Cargo transport Temperature-Sensitive Cargo?

TAP Cool's air transport of Temperature-Sensitive Cargo is carried out using two special active and passive temperature management services:

Cool-Active

Cool-Active is a special TAP Air Cargo service for active temperature management that supports the maintenance of an uninterrupted cold chain at all stages of air transport, from the place of origin to delivery at the destination.

Through Cool-Active, we provide a wide range of active refrigerated containers to transport your Cargo. Inside these containers, systems such as the Opticooler and the Envirotainer, among others, enable the regulation of temperatures using compressors for cooling and electrical energy for heating. They also enable the maintenance of a constant temperature throughout the transport, so that your Cargo is always in excellent condition.

TAP Cool’s active refrigerated containers can be deployed at multiple airports to allow loading and unloading by both the dispatcher and the receiver. This way, any temperature variations are avoided as much as possible.

Note: Your Cargo remains in our refrigerated containers throughout the entire transport chain.

Cool-Passive

Cool-Passive is a special TAP Air Cargo passive temperature management service designed to transport temperature-sensitive products in passive temperature packaging and/or container solutions.

Through insulated compartments—chosen in advance by the Customer—temperature changes in the interior are avoided for limited periods, regardless of the different external climate scenarios. These are also considered the most effective sun protection for air transport of Temperature-Sensitive Cargo.

To ensure effective Cargo safety, TAP Air Cargo also uses va-Q-tainer containers for passive temperature control - thermal containers that allow temperature-controlled solutions for ranges between -25ºC and +25ºC and that offer up to five days of constant temperature. These containers are available in four sizes and can also be chosen in advance by the Customer.

Additionally, all transported consignments are protected by a protective film specially developed to keep your Cargo safe and in perfect condition.
