TAP Air Cargo launches new Secure Track service

TAP Air Cargo took another step in modernising the transportation of goods, launching a new complement for premium cargo tracking. With TAP Secure Track, Customers can track their shipments in real time and keep a detailed record of all events along the entire journey, ensuring greater control and security.

TAP Secure Track uses GPS technology and advanced Internet of Things (IoT) sensors that continuously monitor the location, temperature, light exposure and physical impacts of the cargo. Data is transmitted along the entire journey, giving shippers a detailed and permanent view of the conditions of carriage at each stage. Customers can set up receiving email notifications, which are sent whenever sensors detect a change to a pre-defined threshold (temperature, location, impact force / shock, or package opening / light detection).

TAP Secure Track works with single-use devices. Sensors, always with a unique identifier, are sent to the Customer for placement inside the load, who can then follow the entire route of a package.

Logistics professionals can thus control each shipment at any time, which reduces costs associated with tracking failures, cold chain loss, or security incidents. This new service has been developed primarily for industries such as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, electronics, high-value goods, and temperature-sensitive products, where compliance with strict standards and goods protection are key factors.

The service is available globally and is marketed by TAP Air Cargo sales. The Customer needs to simply request the service from TAP, which reinforces its position in the high-value air cargo segment, centred on solutions that combine security, visibility, and trust.
